Raised in El Paso, Texas, attended El Paso High School, graduated from Texas A&M and served in the US Army with the rank of Major.
Worked with his father, managing Anthony Furniture Company and later established several successful businesses.
Presently established the only commercial coffee roasting company in El Paso, Seham’s Coffee Roasters.
Preceeded in death by his parents, RJ and Zarife Halow, his wife of 53 years, Seham, sister Nan Gillette, niece Nadine Zacour and nephew RJ Halow.
Survived by his brothers and sisters, Jeannette (George) Zacour, Joe (Lorri) Halow, Wadad Cashman, Georgette (Terry) Smith, and Dr. George (Kim) Halow. Children, Reneé (Norman) McCall, Michael Halow, Joey (Laura) Halow, George (Dahlia) Halow. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday September 29, 2014 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM with a Trisagion service at 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. George Orthodox Church, 120 N. Festival Dr., officiated by Rev. Fr. George Al-Dehneh.
