After a long and very courageous battle with cardiac and respiratory issues, the Lord took our little brother, Enrique Gonzales, to heaven on Wednesday, April 13. Our family is pleased: Kiki is now at rest and in the arms of God and our Mom. He was sometimes afraid, so we never left his side. We are very grateful because the Lord gave us the marvelous opportunity - time and time again - to show Kiki how much we loved him. A former employee of Ready One Industries, Kiki had a huge, forgiving, kind, and generous heart and befriended his caregivers easily. He was especially blessed to have been under the care of the El Paso Long Term Acute Care Hospital’s wound care team, nurses and their assistants, who also work under great leadership. Kiki benefitted greatly from EPLTAC’s professionalism, dedication, and commitment to exceptional patient care; their phenomenal staff ensured that he would have a wonderful holiday season. We are also grateful to the very professional crew at Las Palmas Intensive Care Unit under the leadership of a most compassionate individual, Patricia Contreras. Dr. Meisner and Dr. Bel Bel, we are once again indebted to you for extending our brother’s life as you did before when mom was under your care. El Paso is blessed to have you. Kiki is survived by siblings, Connie Devenger, Robert Gonzales, and Gloria Barragan. Rosary: Friday, April 15, 7:00pm, Hillcrest, 1060 North Carolina Drive.
