Elva M. Chavez returned to her home in heaven November 22, 2014. She was met by her husband Armando M., two of her sons, Armand and Dennis Michael. She also joined her sisters Viola Fierro and Bessie Valdez and her brother Ed Miller. Born in 1931, Elva was a lifelong El Pasoan and fiercely proud of the city, the people and the mountains.
She is missed here on Earth by her son Jeffry Lee with wife Elizabeth and her daughter Sharon Ann with husband Jamey Kirby. As well as grandchildren – Lorraine and Michael Chavez; Amanda, Jennifer and Armando Chavez; and Nicole Elizabeth Chavez.
The entire family including nieces and nephews will mourn the loss of her laughter, common sense, and good spirit.
Remembrance, will take place Friday, December 19th at 10am at Harding Orr and McDaniel Funeral Home, followed by graveside service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
