Elsa A Castelo

Elsa Aida Castelo, aged 78, passed away January 3, 2024 in the company of her children and grandchildren. Born on June 6, 1945 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico to the late Antonio and Francisca Sierra. Elsa moved to El Paso to attend high school, where she would spend the rest of her life. Elsa graduated from Burges HS in 1963. She opened her own daycare in 2003, becoming a staple of her community. After closing the daycare in 2012, she spent her retirement taking after the house she shared with her daughter, Yvette. Elsa was loved by friends and family for her fiery spirit, sense of humor and her unparalleled homemade food. She is survived by her three children, Luis Armando, Yvette Aida and Alexander Castelo; her three grandchildren, Amber Rayne, Alexis Nicole and Myra Aida; her three brothers, Jorge, Antonio and Rey and their families. She is now reunited with her late son, Marco Antonio. A celebration of life for Elsa is scheduled for Friday, January 5, 2024.
