The heart of our family, Eloisa “Locha” Santillano, was called suddenly to our Lord on March 12, 2016, her seventieth birthday. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and dear friend to many; she will be greatly missed. Locha was a graduate of Ysleta High School before dedicating the next 36 years as an employee of Levi Strauss, which allowed her to care for her mother, Petra Santillano, as well as provide for many of her siblings, nieces and nephews. She spent her life taking care of others, and her unconditional sacrifice will never be forgotten; through her loving and lifelong generosity, many in her family were able to pursue their dreams and better their lives. Locha was known for her appreciation of the outdoors; her dedication to family; her enthusiasm for the University of Texas Longhorns—she was rarely seen without her beloved Burnt Orange attire; and her devoted volunteer work at Easpointe Elementary. She was famous for her delicious menudo that had the power to bring the entire family together. Locha was preceded in death by her brother, Armando Santillano. She is survived by her mother Petra and her siblings Victor and wife Yolanda, Quirino and wife Ramona, Sergio and wife Rosa Eva, David and wife Sylvia, Ofelia and Pete Ocegueda, Fernie and wife Martha, Rey and wife Sandy, Gloria Camano, and Gracie, as well as multiple generations of nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly. Memorial Service will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Funeral Rite at 6:00 pm. Service under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME 1060 Carolina 598-3332
