Elizabeth S. Hetrick, 72, of El Paso, Texas, passed away September 12, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was known as Grama Liz, to all that love her. She was born on January 15, 1947, to Clarence Sims and Maria Luisa Ramirez. She married William Gene Hetrick on December 11, 1978. She worked for AAFES both here in the U.S. and overseas, where she held job positions from Sales Associate to Supervisor. She loved to collect elephants and rings. Her favorite pastimes were playing bingo, gambling, online shopping and watching movies. She is survived by her sister, Martha Ramirez, daughter Donna Marie Petersen, sons Gabriel Demetrius Sanchez, John Raymond Sanchez and wife Christina Renee Sanchez. She had dedicated and loving caregivers John, Christina, William, Jocelyn, Priscilla Fierro Esparza and Sandra Marie Esparza. She had 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was a very loving, caring, supportive mother and grandmother. She was more of a mother to some of us than our own birth mother. She devoted the last 14 years of her life helping raise and care for her two youngest grandbabies, William and Jocelyn. Her strength came from God and those two grandbabies. They kept her going through years of illnesses and pain. Pallbearers: Gabriel Sanchez, John Sanchez, William Sanchez, Alfred Briones, Javier Reyes, Matthew Cristan and Jocelyn Sanchez. The Lord has called her Home, where she is now young, healthy, able to walk, pain free and reunited with her husband and mother. She is now at peace and forever watching over us. Until we see you again, we love you and miss you dearly.
