Eleanor Dominick Brown, wife, mother, sister and grandmother, died peacefully ending her long struggle with Alzheimer’s on March 24, 2015. Eleanor was born in Birmingham, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama. She married Jim in 1957, a career Army Officer and loved the military life having traveled throughout the United States and Europe. Being married to Jim allowed them to spend most of their young years in the Army. Her passion was playing bridge, tennis and she was an excellent cook. She enjoyed immensely having friends and family over for dinner. Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jim Brown. Children: David Brown, James R. Brown and Susan Saunders. Grandchildren: Aydan and Braxton Saunders, Nicholas, Freddy and Georgina Brown. Brother: John Dominick. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Reception following at 11:30 a.m. both at Hillcrest Funeral Home – Doniphan. Interment will be in Fort Bliss National Cemetery with procession to leave the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Eleanor touched many hearts and will be dearly missed. The family would like to express appreciation to Hospice of El Paso and deepest gratitude to her housekeeper Susana Cueto Olvera who watched over her. She loved Eleanor dearly.
