It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that E.L. “Buddy” Sifuentes, 82, passed away early morning on May 23, 2018 in El Paso, Texas. He was born in Ozona, Texas and was preceded in death by his parents Joe Sifuentes and Anita Longoria of Ozona, Texas.
He was survived by his wife Uta Sifuentes, son Patrick Sifuentes and his wife Leticia and their daughters Mina and Anneliese Sifuentes, his brother Joe Sifuentes(Edna) of Kerrville, Texas, his sisters Jane Saldivar and Sulema Portillo(Rudolfo) of El Paso, Texas and extended family and friends.
Buddy proudly served in the U.S. Army for 21 years and continued to work for the Civil Service at Fort Bliss, Texas for an additional 21 years. He was a lifetime member of both the American Legion and the VFW and also continued to work actively within the community with different Veteran organizations and committees.
Buddy will be greatly missed by his friends and family as his journey continues with Our Lord and Savior. He is gone but never forgotten. His memory will remain in all of our hearts.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, with a Eulogy at 7pm. Graveside service will be Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with procession leaving the funeral home at 9:30am.
