Eileen C. Ferguson

Eileen C. Ferguson, 89 passed away on April 19, 2015. Eileen was born in San Elizario, Texas, on October 11, 1925. She was a gentle, charitable soul who loved her husband,”Sarge” Ferguson, the Army way of life, traveling the world, and devoting herself to her children.

A board member of the UTEP Women’s Auxiliary, she supported UT El Paso academics and was an avid UTEP Basketball fan. Eileen created a warm loving household where there was always room for one more at the table.

Preceded in death by her husband, Noble D. “Sarge” Ferguson, she is survived by 6 children and their families Ken (Maggie), Thom, Jim (Donna), Susan (Tin), Carroll (Al), and Tess (Jeff). Grandchildren Kathleen (Kenneth), Michael, Samantha, Patrick, Rachel, Matthew, Alex, Tommy, Kevin Emily, Eileen, Nick (Lexie) Steven, Bridget, Alyssa, Kathryn, Drew, Ryan & Reed. Five great-grandchildren: Christopher, Wesley, Parker, Nicholas, Levi, Kaylie, and one on the way. She is also survived by her many friends whom she treated as her extended family.

Visitation and rosary will be held on Sunday, April 26, from 5-9 pm at Harding- Orr & McDaniel, (320 Montana Ave.) Funeral Mass on Monday, April 27, 1:00 pm at St. Michael’s (Center Chapel #2), Ft. Bliss, with a graveside service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the UT El Paso Women’s Auxiliary in her name. Service entrusted to Harding-Orr & McDaniel Funeral Home.
