Edna Alicia Perea, born September 1st,1938, was called to heaven on the evening of October 3rd, 2023. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Edna is survived by her daughter, Susan Rajabi and Melissa Silex and her sons, Armando Silex and Raymond Juarez Jr. She was preceded in death by her daughters Norma Silex and Ceci Ann Medina. She leaves behind her grandchildren; Clarissa Berumen, Laila Rajabi, Sarah Beltran-Juarez, Eric Silex, Kayla Juarez, and Jonathon Juarez, as well as nine great-grandchildren.
Edna was full of life, with a vivacious spirit that all were drawn to. She was accepting, friendly, silly and a proud Bowie Bear for life. Her love for salsa dancing led to many lifelong friends and lasting memories. She made the world’s best tamales and spent quality time sharing her love of crafting with her grandchildren. She fell in love with San Francisco and all things creative and eclectic. Her spirit was such a bright light that it will burn in our hearts forever.
Please join us for her service on Tuesday, October, 24th, 2023. Services will be from 5pm to 8 pm at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 N Zaragoza, El Paso, TX 79936.
