Dorothy Jean Holdeman

Dorothy Jean Holdeman passed away March 26, 2023 in her own home. She was ninety-one years old. She is survived by her son, Robert (Jean) of Grandbury, TX and Carla (Fred Seibert) of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by her three grandsons: Jeremy Seibert (Li-Jung), Christopher Seibert (Jessica), and Roy Holdeman (Helen), and by six Great Grandchildren: Luke Seibert, Drake Seibert, Zachary Seibert, Julia Seibert, Rebecca Seibert, and Eleanor Holdeman.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lila Richards Esslinger and Roy Esslinger. Her husband Bob Holdeman of fifty-one years passed away in December 2001.

Dorothy was born in Wheeler, Texas on September 27, 1931. She graduated from Wheeler High School in 1950. She married Bob Holdeman on June 12, 1950. Robert and Carla were born in Wheeler, TX.

Dorothy loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, and her numerous nieces and nephews. She was an avid reader, and in later life traveled frequently with her sister in-law, Gail Parsley, and her nephew, Dr. Ed Parsley.

Services will be held at St. Mark's United Methodist Church on Love Rd, on April 13, at 10am. Burial will be at Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends for a lunch at St, Mark's following burial.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger, El Paso Rescue Mission, or your favorite charity.
