Donna was born in El Paso, Texas, March 1, 1946. She graduated from Austin High School and attended UTEP for two years. After working at various jobs, she worked at Sunland Park Racetrack and Ruidoso Downs, first as a cashier then in the racing secretary's office at Sunland Park. She then moved to Tennessee, spending 30 plus years in Memphis, before returning to El Paso in 2018.
Donna was preceded in death by her father Fulton Robinson Sr., her mother Jolene Metcalfe Robinson and her ex-husband Jerry Stamp. Donna is survived by her brother Fulton Robinson Jr., nieces Donna Diller (Bryan), Lisa Lujan, and Jill Cooper (Anthony), plus numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU wing of Providence East Hospital and staff at the Center for Compassionate Care of Hospice of El Paso. To the many friends who have offered prayers, good wishes and assistance, we sincerely thank you.
Memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00pm with Memorial service at 7:00pm, Friday, September 9, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903. In lieu of flowers for the family, please consider a donation, in Donna's name, to one of the local Animal Rescue Organizations.
