Angels on earth are rejoicing and celebrating Delilah’s journey home to our Lord, God’s promised eternity. On Saturday, October 1, 2022, Delilah Rae Murillo, loving daughter, sister, and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 28. Delilah was born on February 17, 1994 in El Paso, TX to Diana Murillo and Luis Nieto.
Delilah was a cheerful, outgoing, charismatic soul, the center of the family joy and positive light in a sometimes dark world. Her smile, sense of humor, and loud laugh would light up a room. She spread joy to others no matter how she was feeling. She always assisted people in anything they needed, but most of all, she was a forgiving person. She had the kindest heart, was a sincere and caring friend to all she knew and didn’t know.
Delilah greatest legacy were her incredible children, Natalia Lerma, Laelonni Lerma, and Lucas Murillo. She had the opportunity to be a Mama and loved her Lerma girls and her lil Lucas, as she called them often. Her children were always on her mind. She also enjoyed playing with her nephews.
Delilah enjoyed hanging out with friends and siblings, watching movies, dance, and loved to be a danzadora for a community based Matachines group back in the day. She taught her sister Sabrina how to be girly, from makeup to hair, to purchasing top of the line makeup, to following all the trends and being bougie and on fleek. Delilah inspired Sabrina to love everything beauty. Delilah loved working as a waitress, and had plans to become an interpreter, her dream career.
Delilah is preceded in death by her grandfather, Eusebio Murillo, Uncle Victor Solano, Uncle Manuel Nieto and Jason Trujillo. She is survived by her Mother Diana Murillo, father Luis Nieto, her three children (Natalia, 8, Laelonni, 6, and Lucas, 4 years old), Grandmother Angela Murillo, her siblings, brother, Luis Morales Jr. (Jasmine), sister Sabrina Morales (Nathan), Auntie Yolanda Martinez (Teddy), Auntie Terry Nieto, Auntie Nancy Segura, nephews Jonathan, Anthony, Julian, Ethan, cousin JR. Martinez, cousin Aaron Gonzalez Jr., and several cousins. She will be greatly missed by her best friends, Jasmine Clark, Desiree Ortiz, Jennifer Rubalcava, Bebe Jordan, Yesenia Hernandez, and Jenna Andrade. Delilah has left many broken hearts that are filled with beautiful memories.
Thank you for the entrusted time, our Lord. We love you and please watch over our angel. We love you Delilah beyond measure.
