The White family sadly announces the passing of David White, Sr., who took his last breath on September 28, 2024, at 3:16 PM, after a courageous battle with myeloma cancer. Born on April 17, 1962, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. David was a dedicated man who touched the lives of many.
David is predeceased by his parents Leroy and Olivia White; brothers Robert White, Henry Martin and Tommie Martin; and sisters Bertha Brown, Alice Scott, and Rebecca Williams.
David is survived by his beloved wife Yolanda White, and their two sons, David White, Jr. (Eileen), and Nathaneal White(Ashley). David was a proud grandfather to his two grandchildren, Snow White and Nathaneal White Jr. David is survived by brothers Edward Myles, Birmingham, AL; Leroy White (Rita), Knobnoster, MO; William White (Chris), Surprize, AZ: sisters Rosie Elders, Waukegan, IL; Doris Bolden, Olevia King (John), Rita Hunter, and Sheila Dillamar (Rodney), Vicksburg, MS; and Pamela King (Richard), Columbus, GA.
David served his country honorably as a retired Army veteran (SFC) and earned a bachelor’s degree. He was deeply committed to giving back to his community, dedicating 20 years to Narcotics Anonymous and faithfully donating his tithes to God. As a member of the Divine Souls Music Group, he shared his love of singing with others, bringing joy through music.
A man of God, David loved his family and enjoyed cooking for those he cared about. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on October 8, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 9 :00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 7993. Funeral services will take place at Shiloh Baptist Church on October 9, 2024, at 11am, with burial to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society in David's honor. His legacy of love, service, and devotion to family and community will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
