David C. Conklin

David C. Conklin, 88, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Sierra Providence East. He was born in 1922. He married his wife, Betty, in 1941 and they were married for 66 years. He served our country as a Merchant Marine during World War II. Later he went on to work for Southern Pacific Railroad where he worked for 38 years.

He is survived by his two children, Lloyd Conklin (Audrey) of Clint, Texas and Susan Miller (Larry) of Muscatine, Iowa as well as five grandchildren Kelly Esham, Danny Sutter, Chris Sutter, Travis Conklin, and Sarah Newberry. He also had five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty and his daughter, Beverly Krogstad.

We love you and you will be deeply missed.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 1:30 pm at Restlawn Memorial Park with military honors.
