With great sadness, we announce the passing of Dr. Daniel Tarin at 90 years of age on July 21, 2024.
Daniel chose to live a life of continuous study, meaningful service, and devotion to his family. A native of El Paso, Texas, Daniel served his community as a decorated Navy veteran, as well as a well-respected doctor for many years. He was a proud father of Daniel Jr., Debra, David, Derek, Danielle, and Ryan; a grandfather of Desmond, Dillinger, Noah, and Bear; and a great grandfather of Shiloh and Zanaya. He was preceded in death by his father Jose, his mother Josefina, his brother Charlie, and his sisters Berta and Olga. He is survived by his brother Gabriel.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 pm with a vigil at 1:30 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, July 30th at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow in Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906 with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Research Hospital of Saint Jude, Daniel’s most beloved saint. Alternatively, friends are encouraged to consider a gift in Daniel’s memory to the charity of their choice.
