Daniel Campos, 64, passed away on May 28,2022 in El Paso, TX.
Born in Marfa, Texas, he was the son of Dolores B. & Aurora Campos. He was a graduate of Riverside High School. He was retired from the Ysleta Independent School District where he worked as a paraprofessional at various campuses in the Special Education department.
He volunteered many hours to the Special Olympics program and the community of St. Paul’s Catholic Church where he served as a communion minister, lector and CCD Coordinator. He will be remembered most for his quick smile and giving heart.
He is survived by his mother, Aurora Campos, his sisters Patricia A. Haenelt (Patrick Haenelt), Laura J. Garcia, Brenda S. Gutierrez (Oscar Gutierrez), Gloria L. Campos-Piotrowski (Patrick J. Piotrowski), 8 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Dolores B. Campos, his sister Martha A. Campos, and nephew Christopher J. Garcia.
The visitation will be held on June 10, 2022 at Hillcrest Funeral Home East, 1060 N. Carolina Dr. from 5:00 – 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 9:00 am at St. Raphael Parish, 2301 Zanzibar, El Paso, TX with interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
