Crystal Marie Mena

Niece, Cousin, and Friend, left us unexpectedly on June 29th, 2021. Crystal was born on August

5th, 1990, in beautiful El Paso, Texas. Crystal grew up on the east side and graduated from Bel

Air High School in 2008. While she was in school, she played the flute, with great passion, in the

Big Red Pride Marching Band. For the last five years, Crystal worked for The United States

Postal Service and loved her job greatly. She enjoyed going to the movies, shopping, spending

time with family, driving her Jeep, going to Vegas, and traveling with family. Mena was a

wonderful pet mom to her treasured Snowflake and her three ninja turtles, Michelangelo,

Donatello, and Rafael. She loved Star Wars, Marvel, DC, and Disney. Crystal was a proud

Godmother of her cousins Cecilia and Fernando Martinez. She had an incredible ability to make

you feel loved. Crystal was a marvelous role model for all her younger cousins and touched

countless lives. She was a registered organ donor and will save many lives. She will be

remembered as a generous, sincere, loving, kind, and hardworking soul.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Fernando V. Martinez and paternal

grandfather, Hector Mena Sr. Crystal is survived by her parents Alicia Martinez & Samuel Mena,

brother Samuel Mena, maternal grandmother Maria De Jesus Martinez, paternal grandmother

Juanita Mena, Uncle Fernie & Aunt Christy, Nino David & Aunt Sandra, Aunt Yoli & Uncle

Martin, Nina Irene & Uncle Isaac, and Uncle Hector & Aunt Laura. Cousins, Deidre, Reyna,

Veronica, David Jeremy, Mark, Jesus, Michael Anthony, Isaac, Adan, Cecilia, Cindy, Maribel,

David, Fernando, Sara Bee, and Aaron. Beyond them, she had countless family and friends who

loved her tremendously. Our beautiful Mena will forever be in our hearts and will be missed

immensely by all who knew her.

Rosary for Crystal will be held on Thursday, July 8th, 2021, at Martin Funeral Home on 1460

George Dieter at 9:00 am. Her Mass will be held at San Antonio Catholic Church after the

Rosary at 503 Hunter Drive, El Paso, TX 79915.
