SGM Christopher L Adams, 54, of El Paso, Texas passed away Tuesday August 4, 2015, after a long courageous battle with cancer. A beloved son, father, grandfather and friend to many whose presence will be greatly missed. Chris served 26 years in the United States Army and was an avid collector of Dallas Cowboy memorabilia and collectable coins. Chris is survived by his wife, Shannon Horne Adams; his daughters Taryn Carlton and Laurie Faith; his son Brian Adams (Jennifer) and grandson Ethan; his father Gary Adams; his mother Angelina Amador Richard; sister Cathy Chilcote and her daughter Amber (Oscar) and son Stephen; his father-in-law John C Horne; mother-in-law Phyllis Gillespie Horne; brother and sister-in-law Jason Hunt and Taryn Horne Hunt and their three children Larkin Loree, John Cody and Blakely Michael. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of William Beaumont Hem/ONC for their constant, attentive and loving treatment and to Hospice of El Paso for the amazing care in his final hours.
