Cecilia Beatrice Garcia M.D. was born in El Paso on May 3, 1958 to her proud parents, Rodolfo D. and lsela H. Garcia. Cecilia passed away on Nov 7, 2014 after a sudden illness but is now resting in heaven. Cecilia is survived by her husband Cesar Correa, son Christian Delgado, mother Isela, brothers Rodolfo C. (Virginia) and Victor S. Garcia, niece Marissa Garcia, nephew Eric Garcia, and her family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Rodolfo, grandparents Carlos and Beatriz Heredia, and Mariano & Concepcion Garcia. Cecilia graduated from Jefferson High School, Stanford University, Texas Tech School of Medicine, and established her medical practice in El Paso. Dr. Garcia was a Psychiatrist for many years and loved her profession which allowed her to care for and heal her patients. She often said that she would never retire because she loved her work and caring for her patients. Cecilia always trusted the Lord with her family, future, and health and was blessed to be a twenty one year cancer survivor. Cecilia never took life, family, friends, and her profession for granted. Her faith and determination helped her beat cancer and raise her only child, Christian. Cecilia was a devoted parishioner at Queen of Peace and St. Luke’s Catholic Churches. She was a loving godmother to Eric Garcia. Cecilia so dearly loved her entire family and we loved her even more and forever will. She especially enjoyed family gatherings: Christmas at her warm home, birthdays, and lunch at Moe’s Mexican restaurant. Cecilia lived her life in ways that will inspire us when we are faced with life’s challenges. Cecilia is deeply missed and our hearts are full of sorrow but we will always be thankful to the Lord for blessing her with 56 years of life and her cancer survival. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this saddest time in our lives.
