I will always remember Carrie as the sweet, brainy, fun loving baby sis of  Heat and Brian. She was always around with Andrea by her side. The two girls were so cute together and never seemed to be in the way, as siblings sometimes can. My fondest childhood memories were with these beautiful kids, swimming, playing, studying, eating cookies :) I loved that even as we grew older and my visits to Texas became sadly too seldom, Carrie never lost that bright funky spunk. I really love that she made my own kids feel like family Immediately and without hesitation. That's the way their entire family has always been, full of love,charity, mercy, kindness, and undeniable faith and perserverance in the worst of tribulations. Carrie fought a good fight, with her rosary as her sharpest weapon. It is such an honor and blessing for my family to be able to lift up ,in prayer ,Carrie and her entire family, which  I hold so dear and feel so blessed to have had in my life.

My prayers and condolences are with the Eveler and Deines families. Carrie was like a sister to me and I love her and miss her very much. She will truly be missed. Rest in Peace, Carrie.

My thoughts are with the entire Eveler family. I know so many of you did so much for Carrie. I hope the good memories will be cherished and all the caregivers will give themselves the care they need at this time.

What cherished memories to have known the fun, the funny, the smart, the good, and beauty-full Carrie--inside and out. She's an angel in the sky now, watching out for her loved ones.

Forever Remembered
Forever Missed

On March 28, 1976, Carrie was lovingly gifted to the world and placed in the loving care of her parents, who with great expectation and jubilation embraced her completely. They gazed into their little precious bundle of joy...their newborn baby...their little Carrie. Carrie touched lives throughout her earthly journey. She touch hearts, and she touched minds, and she definitely touched many souls. Many will have a rainbow of memories to cherish about Carrie for many years to come. Those closest to her will probably remember her first words, maybe her first steps and other firsts, like when she learned to ride a bike or made her debut at a school performance. They will remember her smile, her excitement when she made a new school friend, and those times when she would excitedly share her school stories at home. Others will remember the joy and sound of her voice on the phone, her mannerisms, her laughter, and the special friendships in her life. Oh, yes, the joking and the singing and the dancing...those memories are one-of-a-kind. Perhaps some will reflect on a conversation about dreams and goals they may have once talked with Carrie about. How about those Thanksgiving meals together, or going to catch a movie and then a bite to eat afterwards? Her uniqueness will forever be treasured. The times she would casually, but so sweetly say "Hi Mom!" "Hey Dad!" or maybe walk into a room and just blurt out,"What's up?" These times will be remembered and cherished as priceless memories. Carrie carries these memories with her too, now that she has gone to the home we all hope to one day also live in...a home where the fullness and perfection of  love dwells. I once read that love is just a word, until someone gives it meaning. Carrie gave love meaning throughout her life. A kind word, a gentle touch on the shoulder to reassure someone, an embrace, a kind gaze, or perhaps just sharing her french fries at a fast food joint. In this and many ways, Carrie defined her love in everyday living by rendering random acts of love towards those dear to her. Love for her is now complete, for as she stood at the doorsteps of her new home and was about to knock, the door flew open and she was embraced with the bear hug of all bear hugs by Love itself. Amid all the fanfare of such a glorious welcoming celebration, she snuggled into her Heavenly Father's loving arms as He told her, "I wait for you no more, my child, for you are now here with Me. Together, you and I will now look down from the window of your eternal room to watch over and look after your parents, your sisters and your brother, your family, and all those close to your heart. As for me, your friend Oscar, I raise my prayers in silence asking that you, Carrie, your daddy and mommy, your brother and sisters, and all your family and friends be blessed today, tomorrow and always. God will console us for now, and He will whisper to our hearts how much He loves you and us. It is aid that when silence speaks of love, it has much to say.
