Carolyn Mary Foght Caldwell passed away peacefully on February 17, 2021 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children Susan, Dalton (Kimmie), Carole (Loring), Donald (Gabriela), Barbara, Timothy, Patricia, and Kenneth (Inez). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was born on December 29, 1931 to Philip and Rosalie Foght in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was married to her beloved husband Dalton (Bob) for 49 years until his death in 1998. She is also preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Becky and Nancy, four sisters and two brothers.
She moved to El Paso with her family in 1941 and attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School, Loretto Academy, and El Paso High School. She was a member of St. Raphael Parish. She was very active in the Eastside Senior Center and volunteered with the EPPD McGruff crime prevention program. Carolyn was a pillar of strength and a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy that has inspired others to have faith, serve, love, and give as she did.
