Carmen Miranda, born in Morenci, Arizona, moved to the El Paso-Juarez region during her childhood. She was the beloved matriarch of her family and lived a life filled with compassion, laughter, and cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Miranda, and her sons, Filiberto, Daniel, and Emmanuel Miranda. Carmen is survived by her children, Soledad Mooneyhan, Virginia Gardea, and Carlos Miranda. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will forever carry on her legacy of strength and joy.
Carmen Miranda lived life to the fullest and taught those around her to do the same. Her wisdom, love, and spirit will continue to guide and watch over her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and adored her.
Visitation will be held at the Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N Carolina Dr, on the 25th of September from 5:00pm-9:00pm with the rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on the 26th of September at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 7424 Mimosa Ave at 9:30 am. Burial services at Fort Bliss National Cemetery will follow the mass.
