Carlos Oscar Rodriguez

Carlos Oscar Rodriguez, 86, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Born January 14, 1924 in El Paso, Mr. Rodriguez graduated from Bowie High School and the Texas College of Mines. He served his country with distinction in World War II with K Co., 393rd Infantry Regiment. He was successful as a Metallurgical Engineer and Mining Consultant. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carmen, his parents, Celso and Catalina Rodriguez and his brother, Fernando. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maria Lilia Lozoya de Rodriguez; children Maria Lilia Rodriguez, Carlos and wife Cynthia Rodriguez, Jr., and Isabella Rodriguez; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, Celso and Ofelia Rodriguez. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 3, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 4, at 9:30 a.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
