Our father, Carlos Martinez, passed away peacefully in his home and was received by OUR LORD early May 7th, 2016. Our father will be greatly missed by his wife of 66 years, Josefina Martinez, his children, David Martinez, Melinda Martinez, and Yolanda Balderrama (Antonio), grandchildren, Andrew Martinez, Brandon Rosales, Yvette Lascurain (Francisco), Lorraine Jackson (Andrew), Robert Favela (Amber), Jacob Favela (Joanne), Arel Acosta, and several great-grandchildren. Our father received his second lease on life through his adoration for his grand and great-grandchildren. Carlos will be remembered for his hard working ethic, employed and retired from the El Paso Electric Company and for his bravery, fighting for our Nation as a Navy sailor through World War II and Korean Conflict. Carlos loved to tinker with his tool shed for hours, he could fix almost anything. The Martinez Family would like to provide their deepest gratitude to the staff of Envision Hospice who provided comfort to our father in the waning days as he battled with cancer. Our father was ONE OF “The Greatest Generation.” -Tom Brokaw Visitation and Rosary: Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 5-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina Drive.
