Carlos Holguin

Carlos Holguin, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015. He was born October 18, 1936 in El Paso, Texas, the son of Gregorio & Agustina Holguin. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and returned home where he began his career as a welder. Carlos met and married the love of his life, Rose Holguin on June 23, 1963. They were blessed with six beautiful children. Carlos was an active member of Our Lady of Assumption church. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Guillermo Murillo, Roberto Holguin, and sister Manuela Loya. Carlos is survived by his beloved wife Rose Holguin and six children; Gloria (Guillermo) Hernandez, Carlos Holguin Jr., Elena (Cassie) Holguin, Ida (Hector) Vazquez, Kristen (Rudy) Padilla, John (Teresa) Holguin, sister Aurora Robledo, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Rick Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez, Robert Holguin, Louie Munoz, Gabriel Juarez, David Sepulveda. Honorary Pallbearers: Lorenzo Avila, Tino Hernandez, Alex Sepulveda, Felipe Dominguez & Edward Robledo. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 5-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 Carolina with Vigil at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10am at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
