Carlos Rascon Chavez (74) was surrounded with the love and presence of his family and was welcomed by his Lord and Savior to his eternal resting place on Saturday, January 20, 2018. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man of unwavering faith and unconditional love.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eliseo and Beatriz Chavez and brother Eliseo Chavez.
Survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Garcia Chavez, mother-in-law Angelina Garcia, children, Carlos (Laura), Lilliana (David), Gabriela ( Luis, fiance) and Alexis (Denise), grandchildren Alejandro, Adele, and Sofia. Brothers Oscar, Jaime, Enrique, Alfredo, and sister Beatriz Mendez, 28 nieces and nephews, and 13 Godchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., with a rosary service at 7:00 at Martin Funeral East 1460 George Dieter Dr. Memorial Mass will be Friday, January 26, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. at Martin Funeral East Chapel followed by burial service at 9:00 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. Honorary pallbearers Rudy Garcia, David Wright, Alfredo Chavez Jr., John Gabriel Chavez, Raymundo Rincon Jr. and Victor Eliseo Mendez.
