Carl L. Atteberry Jr. passed peacefully surrounded by loving family on August 9, 2021, after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. He was a cherished and respected husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved daughter, Robin Lynn.
He is survived by his “child bride” of 50 years, Lynda. His legacy continues through his influence on his 4 surviving children, Larry (Cyndi Lou), Rick (Ashley), Leslie (Darrell), John Paul (Solé), 14 grandchildren and 8 great grand children.
He owned a successful business running a Farmer’s Insurance Agency for 50 years and won more sales awards than we can list. He treated his clients as family and was well known for his dedication to his agency. Outgoing, smart, tenacious and most importantly a heart as big as Texas. He loved his child bride, his family and friends passionately. He owned and loved horses and the sport of racing. He was also an avid Notre Dame and Phillies fan. He always said “I am a legend in my own mind”. We all know he truly was larger than life.
A visitation for Carl will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel, RESTLAWN, 8817 Dyer St., El Paso, TX 79904. Graveside Service will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
