Blasa Gallardo

Born August 5th, 1920 in San Buenaventura, Chihuahua. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was the daughter of Maria de Jesus Bejarano and Simon Holguin. Her mother was born in San Buenaventura and her father in Jimenez, Chihuahua. Her father was a Mexican revolutionary who rode with General Francisco Villa.

She grew up in San Buenaventura, Chihuahua. At the age of 12 years old she became an orphan. She then moved to Chihuahua City to work as a nanny for the Prado-Terrazas family who lived on Zarco street.

She is preceded in death by her two husbands Guadalupe Carrera and Vicente Gallardo. At the age of 18 she met her first husband Guadalupe whom she married and had 4 children, *Jose, *Maria Enriqueta, *Martin and *Javier. She became a widow a decade later. She then moved to Ciudad Juarez with her 4 children. She then met Mr. Vicente Gallardo who would become her second husband. They had 7 children: *Rosalinda, *Vicente Jr. *Santiago, *Maria del Refugio, *Eduardo, *Juana Maria and *Gloria. Vicente and her constructed a home in 1981 in Sunland Park, New Mexico where she lived till her death.

Those to cherish her memories include her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her 28 grandchildren are: Cindy Medina, Minerva Guzman, Linda Medina, Jessica Guzman, Brenda Medina, Jesus Pedroza, Edgar Pedroza, Lucia Carrera, David Guzman, Jose Luis Carrera, Fernando Carrera, Luz Elena Carrera, Adrian Carrera, Martin Carrera, Patricia Carrera, Alfredo Carrera, Nancy Carrera, Myrna Gallardo, Elizabeth Gallardo, Carlos Gallardo, Berenice Gallardo, Laura Gallardo, Socorro Carrera, Marlene Pedroza, Mercedes Pedroza, Janine Knauerhase, Jorge Carrera and Andy Gallardo. She had many loving great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren that will miss her dearly too.

She was a devout church member of San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Sunland Park, NM. Funeral Services will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Visitation services will be held on August 29th from 4:00PM to 8:00PM with a rosary at 6:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude on August 30th at 9:30AM followed by the Interment at Memory Gardens at 11:00 AM.
