Betty was born in Griffin, Georgia on June 21, 1933. She graduated from Fairmont High School where she played basketball and was the secretary of her senior class. After graduating high school, she worked at a jewelry store before marrying her high school sweetheart Charlie A. Passmore, in a union which lasted over 60 years. Betty and Charlie traveled while Charlie served in the U.S. Army before eventually landing at Ft. Bliss, TX where they raised their six children. Upon retirement, she assisted her husband and his business partner, Thomas Randleel, by working at their family business Ran-Pass Liquors. Betty was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, CSM Charlie Passmore, mother, Ethel Bell Copeland, and brother, Harold Copeland. She is survived by brother, Herman Copeland, sisters, Charlie Hawkins and Ellen Jefferies, sons, Charles and Kenneth Passmore, daughters; Chrysantheia Passmore, Pamela Hopkins (husband Ronald), Kimberly Williams (husband Donald), and Felicia Gomez. She leaves behind grandchildren Nichole and Natasha Gomez, Charlie, Randy, Phillip, and Michael Passmore, Briana and Toure Hopkins, Donald and Sean Williams, and great-grandsons Randy Culpepper Jr. and Jayden Passmore.
