Betty Jo McDaniel (Jones), was born on September 11th, 1934, in Hockley County, Texas, to parents Osie Minatra and Joe Lee Jones. After a full life of living, she passed away, at age 86, on Tuesday, May 12th, 2021.
She met the love of her life, a touring drummer named Clifford (Danny Lucas) McDaniel in Amarillo, Texas in 1956. It was love at first sight, and two tied the knot the same year in Tucumcari, New Mexico. They eventually settled down in El Paso, Texas, where they raised their two sons. If you knew Betty you know that her marriage was the pride of her life, and it shined ever so brightly as they were happily married for 60 years, a true loved story for the ages.
Betty severed as the vice president of the local family-owned business, Danny’s Music Box, founded in 1970. She was a fantastic homemaker who served her family as a first priority, and was passionate about preparing homecooked meals made with love. Betty had a lively sense of style and never left the house without confidence and the proper attire.
She is survived by her two sons, Cliff McDaniel, Jr. and his wife Paula McDaniel: their daughters Melissa McDaniel and Kaitlyn McDaniel, and Danny Joe McDaniel: his children Danielle McDaniel and Joseph Lee McDaniel, grandchild Alexander Lee McDaniel, and step-children Benjamin Moya, Priscilla Moya, Elizabeth Moya, and their children.
