Betty Jean Barter

As a military wife she enjoyed traveling to duty stations that included Texas, Okinawa, Washington, Alaska, and settling in El Paso. During this time she worked for Civil Service and had a career of over 25 years. She was an avid painter and was active in the El Paso Art Association and Pastel Society of El Paso.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children Tony Barter (Keri), Debbie Blessing (Joe), Thomas Barter (Laurie), Sandy Vasquez (Fernie) and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by extended family.

Betty was preceded in death by her devoted husband CW3 Richard Neil Barter and brother Derald Hentrich.

Visitation will be Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10 am with a Vigil beginning at 12:30 pm at Martin Funeral Home 1460 George Dieter, El Paso, Texas. The Graveside Service will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
