Beneranda (Bene) Martinez, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was born in Durango, Mexico on May 30, 1932 and came to El Paso in 1963. Bene is survived by her husband, Jose Jorge Martinez, sons Gilberto Martinez and his wife, Norma, Ricardo Martinez and his wife, Letty, grandchildren Jennifer Diane, Michael Gilberto and Ricardo Martinez Jr., Diana Manriquez, Julian Gilberto Martinez, Isabella and Joseph Nunez, great grandchildren Celeste Raquel and Alejandro Gilberto Martinez and one great-great grandchild, Eden Erick Chacon. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 14th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina with Vigil beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 15th at 9:30 AM at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home.
