Suzie,
I never met your mom but I know her because I know you.  She must have been an awesome mom and a generous and giving woman because that is the daughter she raised.  We thought lots about you while we were in Phoenix with all the clan.  Take care.  You will continue to be in our prayers.

Mrs. Boyer spoke with me like a long lost friend and confidant, even though I had not spoken with her in two decades.  I was working at Fort Bliss for only a couple of days and I decided to call.  I once dated her daughter, Suzanne, in the early 80's, and I remember meeting Mrs. Boyer in Coronado.  I just have fond memories of talking freely, even though I was a nervous young man in lust/love, LOL.  Life goes on; yet, here I was in El Paso and Mrs. Boyer and I talked and talked.  I certainly wish I would have had more time in my life for someone, so obviously loved by all.  May God Bless your entire family.  May your memories shine like a desert sun.

Barbie was a sorority sister of mine. How strange to use the verb tense of “was” in describing such a once-lively person! When our sorority would schedule a meeting at Barbie’s house, I’d look forward to a fun time.

She was a loving person in addition to being a gracious and generous hostess. The last time I was a guest in her home I copied a recipe from her recipe collection, one I will cherish even more now that she is gone.

Suzie,Laura, and Jenny. Your mother loved you all very much. I have great memories of all of us growing up in El Paso and I will always remember her fantastick smile and endless laugh. She was an awesome woman and touched many hearts in her life. I know that her and my mom have God cleaning his room right now!! That's what Mom's do...they love all of us forever and I will miss Barbara very much. My prayers are with all of the family and she will always be in my heart. I love you all, Lolly

Dearest Suzie, Laura and Jenny- I am so sorry to hear about your Mother! As you know, your Mom held a very special place in our family as we felt we always had in yours. I have many fond memories of her and her boundless energy and exuberence (especially late nights around the kitchen table!) . Mom & Aunt Honey always were quick to share some great story of some crazy thing the three of them had done! Just think, now the three of them are driving everyione in Heaven crazy, too! Barbie touched the lives of so many people with her kindness and great laugh.  I have so many very fond and  fun memories of her. I am so glad to have had Barbie as a friend and I wish so much that I could be there with you all to celebrate her wonderful life.

Ladies,
   Your mother was a dearest and always a sweet heart to my brother and I.  I remember the wonderful art/ craft room where we used to do things when the moms got together after school.  Your mom always had wonderful craft ideas for Girl Scouts- our Brownie troop meetings after school were the funnest part of the day.  
   Barbie always gave a ray of hope to me as I struggled through my school years. She always accepted me for who I was and reminded me that every one is different and unique.
   Your mom was a "rock" for me when I came home from a tough day at school (both academic and socially) and hugged the insults away.  The walk from school was long, but there was always a smile and a kiss waiting.  She was a loving and accepting mother to everyone.  It didn't matter who they were. She helped make me who I am today.
   I will miss your mom as well as the 3 ladies who raised us to be wonderful adults with loving families just as they provided for us when we were young.  May she rest in peace, have a "toddie at 5" with the other 2, and watch over the grandkids as their Angel in Heaven.
