Arturo Marquez, 58, passed away June 14th, 2018. He was born November 18th, 1959 in El Paso, Texas. Arturo graduated from Bel Air High School in 1978. He graduated from EPCC in 1985 with an Associate Degree in Radiology. He worked at Providence, Hotel Dieu and was in his 28th year at Del Sol Medical Center where he was the supervisor of the Radiology Department. His passion for traveling was just as great as his love for UTEP football and basketball games. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed learning about Historical Information and would end up giving you a history lesson during your conversations with him. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, son, and brother, who will forever be missed. Arturo is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sylvia N. Marquez; son, Arturo Emilio Marquez; parents, Enrique and Julieta Marquez; brothers, Enrique Marquez Jr. (Teri) and David Marquez (Irma); sisters, Guadalupe Perez (Ruben), Estella Rodriguez (Pedro), and Esther Romero; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Marquez, Arturo Romero Jr., Pedro Rodriguez III, Andres Rodriguez, Eduardo Carrasco, Carlos Ramirez Jr., Kevin Alonzo, and Pedro Rodriguez Jr. Visitation for Arturo will take place Tuesday, June 19th from 4pm-8pm with a vigil at 7pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, June 20th at 10:00am at San Antonio de Padua Church. Services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina 915-598-3332.
