Armando was a life-long resident of El Paso, Texas, born on June 2, 1947. Graduated from Bel Air High School in 1966, Mando worked as a lab technician for over 35 years at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. He enjoyed playing softball and shooting pool.
Armando is predeceased by parents Moses & Maria Valdez and younger brother Moses “Sonny” Valdez.
Armando is survived by sister Mary Jean “Jeannie” (Richard) Thacker; Daughters Virginia Martinez and Angie Martinez-Romero; Grandchildren Michael & Victoria Armijo, Josiah Martinez, Ryu & Samantha Romero, and Deziree Dominguez.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Hospice of El Paso for the great care and making our dad’s last few months comfortable.
A Service for Armando will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Central located at 3839 Montana Avenue. Visitation is from 4pm to 8pm with the Rosary service at 6:30pm. Church service will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:30am at St. Joseph’s Church located at 3729 Hueco Avenue, followed by the committal service at 1:00pm at Evergreen East Cemetery located at 12400 Montana Avenue.
