Antonio Rodarte passed away on June 15th 2012 in El Paso, TX at the age of 91. Born in El Paso, TX and was the youngest of four children of Antonio & Maria Rodarte. Antonio was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be forever remembered for his integrity, honesty, humor, basic love of life and the simple things of life. He passed away being surrounded by his beloved wife Soledad and their children by his side. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years Soledad and children Irma (Ike) Martinez, Tony (Amy) Rodarte, David (Linda) Rodarte, Martin Rodarte, Joe (Aina) Rodarte, Teresa (Larry) Osmond, John Rodarte, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents Antonio & Maria Rodarte, brothers Victor and Martin Rodarte and sister Jesusita Ramirez.
Born on June 24, 1920. Served in the US Army from 1942 to 1946 in Germany during World War II and was a Staff Sergeant. He received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart & Expert Infantryman's Badge. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 21 from 5:00 P.M. to 9;00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 22 at 9:45 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
