On Friday, August 21, 2015 we lost our father, grandfather, friend and soul mate to our mother, Antonio "Tony" (Papo) Gutierrez. He served six years with the Army National Guard of New Mexico and Honorably Discharged in 1961, married his middle school sweetheart, Ramona "Monsie" Roman and moved to El Paso, Texas. He was an Electronic Engineer at WSMR and retired after 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Ramona "Monsie" Gutierrez and his three daughters Deborah Gutierrez -Macias (Robert), Toni Leigh Martinez, Yvonne Gutierrez-Delgado (Richard) and his brother Samuel Gutierrez of La Luz, New Mexico. He is also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Tony remained active with Christ the Savior Catholic Church and enjoyed his side business of preparing income taxes. He passionately enjoyed serving God and prayed his rosary daily. He was also an active member of the Knight's of Columbus Council #9129, Christ the Savior Catholic Church.Tony was a true soldier of God who loved his family unconditionally. He was the epitome of a fine gentleman with the kindest soul that he shared with so many people who crossed his path. He was loved and admired by his family and so many friends. We thank all his friends who always supported him. The Lord truly Blessed us with the finest father and husband. He will be terribly missed all who knew him. We are at peace knowing that we have an angel watching over us and knowing he is at home with our Lord and Savior.The viewing will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 5-7p.m., with the rosary starting at 7:30 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Kaster-Maxon & Futrell, 8817 Dyer, El Paso, Texas. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Christ the Savior Catholic Church, 5301 Wadsworth, El Paso, Texas at 1 p.m.
