Anita M. Delgado

Anita Winkler Delgado passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Friday, February 8, 2019, at the age of 93. Anita moved to El Paso from Flint Michigan when she was 18. Our beloved mother and grandmother is resting peacefully in the hands of our Lord Jesus.

Anita is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Jose Joaquin Delgado (1917 - 1994). Anita is survived by a loving family; daughter Rebecca Delgado, daughter Karen Delgado Long and her husband Robert Long and their children Erik Long and his wife Aranrak (Oh), and their daughter Mabel Long; Jason Long and his son Anthony James Long. Anita was the oldest of 5 children and she is survived by her sister Rosalie Jordan and her brother William Winkler and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Ed and Eva Long for their unselfish dedication to the care of Anita.

Anita had a lust for life and enjoyed cooking, reading and listening to classical music. We remember her sweet loving nature and her great sense of humor. Friends and family were always a priority in Anita's life; this resulted in dear, life-long friendships and close family ties.
