Amos Joel Hall, age 88, died at home in El Paso, Texas on September 28, 2023 surrounded by family. He always wanted to “die with his boots on and a quarter in his pocket” and that is just the way he went.
Amos was born in Bratt, Florida on August 3, 1935. He married love if his life, Betty Joyce Lunsford in 1956 and had 2 daughters. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1959, serving until 1968. He attended the University of Houston, Bates School of Law, and joined the JAG office at Ft. Bliss in 1974. He concluded his career in private practice from 1984 -2019.
He dearly loved God, his family, and his country. He is survived by his wife Betty Lunsford Hall, 2 daughters, Cynthia K. Hodge (Benjamin Hodge), and Patricia A. Butterfield, (Peter TenEyck). He also leaves to cherish his memory grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Thursday October 12, Visitation 11:30 a.m. and service following 12:00 p.m. at Bethel Family Ministries, 6301 Alabama, El Paso, Texas. Graveside service with Military Honors will be Thursday, October 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
