Amelia Saldana entered into eternal peace on Monday August 17, 2015 at her home. Amelia was born April 15, 1939, daughter of the late Francisco Saavedra Sr and Elena Saavedra. Amelia was preceded in death by her loving husband Longino "Gilbert" Saldana and her sister Estela Carbajal. She leaves her memories to be cherished by her sisters, Martha Sanchez and Celia Keene and her brothers Francisco Saavedra Jr and Ramon Saavedra, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, August 20,2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Doniphan with Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, August 21, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Canutillo, Texas. Right of Committal will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
