Alice Gene Young

Alice Gene Young passed away on February 17, 2018, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, in Collierville, TN. She was born in Posey, TX on September 12, 1927 to P. G. and Bessie Boone Meading. She was a proud graduate of Texas Tech University, where she met her husband, Carl J. Young. Alice taught in the El Paso Public School System for 40 years, touching many lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her two sisters, Evelyn Ball and Miriam Curry. She is survived by her children, Richard Young and Karen Radiloff. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Matt Young, Kate (Gavin) Roddy, Alicia (Blake) Dunn, and Olivia Radiloff, as well as her two precious great grandchildren, Thatcher Roddy and Vera Roddy. She will be laid to rest with a graveside service on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at Restlawn Memorial Park, El Paso, TX. Alice will be remembered for her great stories, humor, love, and resilience. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, 1520 W. Poplar Ave., Collierville, TN 38017.
