Wow!!!! I can't believe you are gone my primo Freddy. I have been following you and your dancing music for a very longtime. I enjoyed every moment of it.  My father and I always enjoyed visiting your parents. I'm so sorry for your loss. Freddy was a very good, descent, humble, and righteous man. Freddy will now be visiting Tia Fili and Tio Lalo playing his trumpet. Rest in peace.........March 2021. Love ya all in the name of Christ......for this is not the end only the beginning. 


Freddy, when I heard you passed away my heart sank.  Our Prayers go to your wife, family, friends and former students/colleagues . I remember having you help us out when I was teaching at Jefferson HS. You would take time to share your knowledge and talent with us through rehearsals/clinics that you would give to the kids in the Jefferson HS Jazz Band!  I always remember when you spearheaded the Jazz  Band Reunion Concert honoring Mr. Joe Dove! Truly a talented musician, educator and follower of Christ! May God Grant You Eternal Peace my friend!

My dear friend and colleague, so many memories from our time in the Guillen Music Department.  From planning concerts to performing together at various school events we had a blast.  Thanks for sharing your talent with the Guillen community.  You made a lasting impression in the lives of everyone who met you.  And, your fashion sense was always spot on!

I am so heartbroken to hear about MrValles’s passing! I met him late 80s when I was in sixth grade. At Guillén he was my teacher and then comes Bowie and he is still my teacher. He was an exceptional man! Very nice, gentle, respectful, and always wearing a beautiful smile that made your day! I have never forgotten him and will never forget him! We are so sorry for your loss. Sharing in your sadness as we remember Freddy Valles. Our deepest condolences go out to Elvira and the extended family. It was 2018 when we last saw each other on your New York trip. I was so happy we had a chance to meet up and catch up on a lot of stories with my parents David & Dora Reyes. We met up for some NYC cheesecake and then we took a drive around the city. Since then we stayed in touch and we're always thinking of you both. Freddy has impacted so many people through education and especially through his music. It will be a major loss to the local music community as that is how many remember him. May our friendship and prayers ease you through this difficult time.

I am so heartbroken and will miss Freddy. He was a good friend in my high school days at Jefferson. He left a legacy at Guillen and Segundo and thankful for his support and love of music. My sincere condolences to the family. 

Freddy was one of my dad's favorite students. He was very blessed to see how Freddy loved music so much that he continued playing after High school.  I remember Freddy as always smiling and being very kind to everyone.  We, my father and I,  share your grief. May God comfort you during this difficult time. We were truly saddened  to learn about Mr. Valles’ passing. We did not know him well but we did know him through his musicianship in the group Starliners. They played often at the dance place we frequented. We were regulars at Palacios in Mesilla NM on Fridays and sometimes Saturdays. 

A quiet gentleman with interesting hats and quiet demeanor who could wail with a bright trumpet sound illustrating his vast skilled trumpet repertoire. 

He has left a gap in our hearts...difficult to close as we honor and give our sincerest condolences to all he left behind.

I known Freddy since 1982 when I first started working for the EPISD Fine Arts Dept. Freddy was the type of person that would walk into a room with his great big smile and liven up the shop. I went on to become a Police Officer for the City of El Paso but Freddy was never forgotten. I would go see him play whenever I had the time. He was a true friend that will be surely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his loving family and to all his extended family. Rest in Peace my brother and fill the heavens with your music.

I met Freddy about 35 years ago and he never changed his love for music and his students. I met Freddy back in 1972/1973 when we were in school at Henderson.   My sincere condolences to the Valles Family.

Mr. Valles always saw the best in his students, he always motivated and picked us up when we were having a terrible day at school without hesitation. He was a big part of our lives and taught music to 5 of my siblings and nephew. Anytime I would see him perform at a church kermes I would just smile in awe because there he was doing what he loved, still teaching me off the clock that his passion for music was so deep and without him knowing taught me to persue my dreams as a musician. 
May God bless his soul and bless his family, I am certain he is still watching over his beautiful family and all of his students.

Being out of town and not being able to get together with Freddy as often as I would've liked was hard enough, but knowing that I won't be able to see him again is really hard.  I wish I could be there for you. If you need anything just let me know. 

My condolences, such a kind soul will be missed. I expirienced and saw how much he worked for his students and music. From my time in middle school with him to high-school he never judged anyone and never gave up on anyone. He pushed me and many other if his students to be better people and for that the world is a little better. I can't put into words how much he impacted my life, may he rest in peace

Our deepest condolences to the Valles family. We knew Freddy from San Francisco Javier through Richard Valles.  
I personally knew Mr. Valles from when I was in the band at Henderson Middle.  He would be our substitute sometimes and he would make it so much fun for us, that we didn't want the class to end. He was always so joyful and always ready to help you in any way he could. He loved his trumpet. He was one of the good ones and it saddens us to hear of his passing.  Until we meet again fellow trumpeter.
