Alfredo (Felo) Ramirez, 80, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa V. Ramirez, and parents Bartolo and Evangelina R. Ramirez. He is survived by his daughters Evangeline Rose (Evie) and Melissa Rose (Missy) and brother Rudolfo (Jean) and numerous nieces and nephews. Felo was born on November 20, 1933 in El Paso, Texas. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated in 1953. In the fall of that same year, Felo was drafted into the United States Army and served in Korea from 1954-1955. He married Rosie Vasquez on June 22, 1957 and they celebrated 56 years of marriage together. He participated in several civic organizations throughout his life. Felo worked 33 years for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. During his career and as a retiree he was dedicated member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. After retiring for the Post office, he served as President of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 2011for many years. Felo dedicated his life to Lord and was a founding member of Iglesia Bautista Trinity. He loved teaching Sunday School and serving his church. He loved to travel with his wife and visited many places in the U.S. and the world. He was a devoted husband, loving father, caring brother and a great friend. He was loved by many and will forever be missed. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Del Sol Church.
