Albert (Al) Weber passed away peacefully on February 27, 2016 at the age of 85 at the Center for Compassionate Care- West of Hospice of El Paso. The son of Albert Weber Sr. and Nita McMann, Al was born and raised in Indianapolis. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed a lengthy career with McDonald’s and always said that working there kept him young. Al was a racing enthusiast. He enjoyed NASCAR and for years traveled with his wife Jan to races in their motorhome. In retirement Al and Jan volunteered at Elephant Butte Lake State Park and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. They also traveled extensively in the motorhome taking trips to Alaska, Florida, Branson and various national parks. He was predeceased by a brother, a sister and Ruth Weber, his wife of twenty-nine years. A devoted family man, Al is survived by his loving wife Janet Weber, his son Jake Weber (Dana), his daughter Tina Weber (Jan Grimmett) and two grandchildren, Amber and Jason Weber. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm at Martin Funeral Home West. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, followed by the internment at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery. Funeral services are being handled by Martin Funeral Home West.
