Adrian is survived by his daughter, Savannah Renee Gonzalez (Oscar Vargas); parents, Alejandro N and (Judge) Guadalupe R Gonzalez; grandsons, Luca Santiago Vargas, and Cristiano Noah Vargas; nephew, Anthony Alexander Cereceres; and by his cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Cristina Raquel Gonzalez, whom he adored.
Adrian, affectionately known as Orly, brought joy and light to all who were privileged to know him. An Alum of Agape Christian Academy, he grew up in the truth of God’s Word and embraced his Christian faith as evidenced by his gentle, giving spirit, his sense of justice for those oppressed, and his grand love of family. Upon attaining his college degree at UTEP, Orly became an educator where he was devoted to helping teach children with special needs. He was beloved by his students at the EPISD and excelled at touching the lives of the young in a highly positive way. Recently, his life was transformed with the births of his two grandsons, Luca, and Cristiano whom he cherished immensely. Orly fell in love with music at an early age and grew up to be an excellent guitarist who loved, composed, and performed his own music. Among other unusual interests, he was an aficionado of the Michigan Wolverines football team, Beatles music, international politics, revisionist history, and the culinary arts. Orly was also blessed with a singular blend of playfulness and a fun-loving sense of humor that endeared him to family and friends with a special bond born of his kindness and affinity for others. But he was first and foremost a free spirit, with a keen mind for inquiry, and a passion to know The Truth. We were blessed beyond measure that Orly was born into our family, and we thank God for the privilege of claiming him as our own. He left a beautiful legacy as a devoted and loving son, father, and grandfather, that will forever continue to inspire our family and others to serve God, family, and country.
