My deepest condolences for your loss. Although it has been years since I last saw her, I will always remember her fondly and feel her loss deeply.  She was always welcoming and visiting her was always special. 💛

My grandmother was a true matriarch of our family. So many fond memories and thoughts come to mind but so hard to find the words to share them right now.  I have been blessed to have spent so much time with her through my life and for her to have been able to meet my children. She will continue to be an influence in my life and the lives of my children.
Grandma, rest well with our Lord. Amen. 

To my cousins,  my deepest sympathy for the loss of your mom. Although it's been a very long time since our families have visited I still have very fond memories of our yearly visits with your family when we were kids. Tia Adelina will be very much missed.

Mi recuerdo mas vivo de mi Mamá es que siempre fue estricta pero justa. Regañaba cuando era necesario pero animaba y premiaba lo bien hecho. Su sueño siempre fue que todos sus hijos estudiáramos hasta obtener un título universitario para defendernos en la vida. Decía que el dinero se acaba pero el estudio sirve para siempre.       Y logró su sueño pero a base de mucho esfuerzo de su parte pues ella llevó toda la carga de la casa y de nosotros. A mi me acompañaba hasta subir al camión para ir a la universidad y luego se regresaba a dar desayuno y despachar a mis hermanos a la escuela. Nunca nos pedía ayuda porque decía que nuestro trabajo era estudiar duro.    Aparte de la casa Ella mantenia su jardín y el césped  limpio y hasta se daba tiempo para lavar los carros porque no le   gustaba ver nada sucio. Al menos mi carro lo lavo muchas veces.                       Cesar le preguntaba cómo le hacía para tener la casa limpia, la ropa  lavada y planchada y la cena lista para las cinco que ya todos   estabamos listos para comer su deliciosa comida. Si no pregúntenle  a Baldo cuando ha probado mejor carne con calabacita.                                                                                               Creo que para ella valió la pena porque todavía estando malita dijo que Dios la había bendecido con hijos buenos y trabajadores. También creo que se fue tranquila porque estamos bien y no haremos nada que ella no aprobaría. Que descanse en paz y nos mande sus bendiciones desde el cielo para seguir siendo como a ella le agradaría. La recordaremos con mucho amor siempre.

My mother taught me leadership, to assume the position, she as a Queen.  From stories since her childhood, nothing wavered. As the family lived through circumstances, the question always coming up was,  what will your Mother say. 
Just a few days ago, I tried to elevate my standing in her view, and asked her if she remembered my birth. She mentioned something about nine months and I asked her if she recalled when she first came to understand I was a genius. After a pause, she responded with her "get over yourself" look. Again, as always, she ruled.
