William "Bill" Bowden Turnage, 85, of El Dorado, passed away March 4, 2024 at the South Arkansas Regional Hospital. He was born October 7, 1938 to William Herbert and Pauline Bowden Turnage in El Dorado, AR.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Murphy Oil Corporation where he worked as Financial Analyst. Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado.
Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Valerie Claire Tucker; son-in-law, Todd Tucker; and sister, Barbara Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Myra Lowe Turnage of El Dorado; daughter, Virginia Carol Turnage Whatley of El Dorado; son-in-law, Willis Lewis Whatley; sons, William Paul Turnage of Fayetteville, AR, daughter-in-law, Jerri Leigh Turnage; Gregory Michael Turnage and wife Heather Turnage of York, PA; grandchildren, William Christopher Turnage, Dominique Michael Robert Whatley, William Edmund Arthur Whatley, Sage Duncan Turnage; sister, Marilyn Turnage; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the Direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
