William Forrest Metcalf, 68, of Junction City, AR, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 30, 1953 to the late Roger Howard and Irma Louise Cornish Metcalf in El Dorado, AR.
He retired after 30 plus years from Great Lakes Chemical, where he worked as an operator and was on the fire brigade. William was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing, hot rods, and wood work. He also had a love for music and was the bass guitarist with the band, Just Us. William loved to make people laugh and was affectionately known to many as Trees.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 15 years, Donna Mayberry Metcalf of Junction City; four children, Roger Metcalf (Michelle) of Centerton, AR, Dana Faith (James) of El Dorado, Jeff Metcalf of Decatur, AR, Amy Mantooth of Lonoke, AR; brother, James Metcalf (Linda) of Maumelle, AR; sister, Peggy Perry (Frank) of El Dorado, and grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, and Jason Faith, Kaden, Briar, Austin and Adelyn Mantooth.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors, with Rev. James Faith officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Young's.
