Born on September 18, 1921 in Okolona, Arkansas; he was the son of C. Y. Faulkner and Stella Fugitt Faulkner. He was a WWII Army TSGT serving in the South Pacific and Philippines. Buddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and welding. Buddy attended Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Buddy was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Bernice Gilbert Faulkner, his parents, 10 brothers and sisters, a son Barry W. Faulkner and his wife Martha Jackson Faulkner.
Survivors are a son Steve (Juanita) Faulkner of Haynesville, LA; two brothers, Jimmy Faulkner of Homer, LA and Ralph Faulkner of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren Janie Shipman (Jason) of Junction City, Rebecca Faulkner of El Dorado, Matthew Faulkner of Haynesville and April Jones (Whitney) of Baton Rouge; great grandchildren Lauren Shipman, Nicholas Shipman, Mattie Lynn Faulkner, Ella Kate Jones, Kaylee (Gary) Shackleford and Blake Frisby.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6 pm to 8 pm at Young's Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be at 10 am, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Chuck Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
